PASSPORT REPLACEMENT - WASHINGTON - SEATTLE
PASSPORT REPLACEMENT CHANGE OF DATE AND VENUE
With reference to our earlier announcement about Passport replacement exercise in Washington Seattle and the surrounding States, I wish to inform you that due to unforeseen circumstances beyond the Embassy's control,the passport replacement exercise has been postponed to a later date and venue.
In this regard the exercise shall take place from May 8th to May 11th 2015 at America's Best Value Inn & Suites, 14800 Interurban Avenue South,Tukwila, Washington 98168.Operational hours remain the same including Saturday and Sunday.
The Embassy of Malawi in Washington D.C. regrets any inconvenience this might have caused.

In continuing rendering services to Malawians resident in the U.S, the Embassy of Malawi in Washington DC would like to inform all Malawians resident in Washington-Seattle and surrounding States of California, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Oregon, Montana and Wyoming that the Immigration Officer from the Embassy will arrive in Washington-Seattle for the passport replacement exercise from April 16th, 2015 and depart on April 21st 2015. All those who wish to have their passports replaced are requested to meet the officer at SeaTac Super 8 hotel 3100 S. 192nd Street, Seattle Washington 98188. Operational hours will be from 08.30 am to 05.00pm.
Applicants are again reminded to bring the following with them:
- Current or expired Malawi passport
- Two passport size photographs taken on a white background: size:4.5 x 3.5 centimeters.
- Prescribed $200 fee. (Payable to “Malawi embassy” in Money Orders / bank certified checks. Cash will not be accepted.)
- Police report or certificate for lost passports
- Marriage certificate in the case of married women
- Birth certificates and copies of parents’ Malawi passports for children born in the U.S. and
- Divorce or husband’s death certificate in the case of women who would like to change surname.
Applicants are also reminded that children, regardless of age, are required to have their own Passports and should report in person to the Immigration Officer accompanied by their parents and legal guardians to have their fingerprints taken.
